About Yoga

Yoga is an ancient practice which originated from India and has become increasingly popular in the western world. It is a practice that enables us to accept and nurture our physical and mental health and to find some inner calm in what is often a chaotic world.

Yoga brings together movement, breathing and relaxation to create a balancing effect on the mind and the body.

My classes are inclusive and are aimed to suit everybody regardless of age, gender and experience. I aim to tailor classes to the students who are in attendance and try to ensure everyone leaves feeling energised as well as relaxed.

I believe that if you make yoga a regular part of your life you will look and feel healthier, happier and more balanced.

About Susie

Hello!

My name is Susie and I am a Yoga Teacher with a passion for wellbeing in every sense of the word. I gained my qualification in early 2015 from the British Wheel of Yoga after 4 years of training and have gone on to develop Yoga classes that are focused on how we can use Yoga therapeutically. I welcome students of any age and any level and I feel that a Yoga class should feel relaxed, inclusive and lighthearted. I am keen to help people recognise how stress affects their health and wellbeing and learn how we can use Yoga, mindfulness and relaxation to reduce the many negative effects that stress can have on both our mental and physical health.

I believe that stress is rifer than ever in the lives that we lead and that no age group is unaffected. This is why I teach a diverse range of students from young people with educational challenges to the elderly (I am fully DBS checked). I feel that with the right wellbeing toolbox we can unlock our potential to lead more peaceful and balanced lives.

Along with Yoga, I have a keen interest in food and nutrition and host seasonal Yoga brunches which include a specialised Yoga class followed by a delicious brunch based around seasonal and health-giving foods.
